DAY 22: Black/Green
The color green is the color of balance and harmony. From a color psychology perspective, it is the great balancer of the heart and the emotions, creating equilibrium between the head and the heart. From a meaning of colors perspective, green is also the color of growth, the color of spring, of renewal and rebirth. It renews and restores depleted energy. It is the sanctuary away from the stresses of modern living, restoring us back to a sense of well being.

DAY 14: Pomegranate Red
One wahine of note i'd like to acknowledge is Torere-nui-a-rua. She was the daughter of Hoturoa, captain of the Waka Tainui. She disembarked from the Waka on its journey around the East coast, and married Manaakiao, tangata whenua of the area now known as Torere. Torere is located on the East Coast between Opotiki and Te Kaha and is known to be a Tainui stronghold ... yes whanau a little piece of Tainui smack dab in between Whakatohea and Te Whanau-a-Apanui ... named after a Tainui Woman.
