    Our word for womenswear. Aho is the weft thread used for the making of kākahu . Nuku is the short form of Papatuanuku, Earth mother
  • Aho Rangi
    Our name for menswear. Aho is the weft thread used in the making of kākahu. Rangi is short for Ranginui, sky father.
  • Aho Riki is our name for Children’s wear. Aho is the west thread of Kākahu. Riki is short for Ririki or Tamariki being the Māori word for small or children .

  • ‘Here’ isTo tie up, fasten with cords or to bind. We use this word for Hair ties and scrunches and use it as a play on words “Here Ties”
