Our UKU soaps are Cold Process (CP) soap, locally made (here in Rotorua) and use no harmful chemicals. We know exactly whats in it, because we make it from scratch.

What’s the difference between Cold Process (CP) soap and Melt & Pour (M&P)? Melt and Pour (M&P or MP) utilizes a pre-made base that is ready to use as is and you just add your additional ingredients.

Cold Process soap is made by mixing or saponifing lye and oil and the resulting chemical reaction is soap. We prefer to use Cold Process to maintain the benefits of the oils and natural ingredients used in the soap making process. Our soaps have been carefully considered infusing native NZ ingredients where possible.
